  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound egg noodles

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Slow Cooker

Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or lightly grease it with olive oil.

Step 2: Add the Chicken

Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.

Step 3: Mix the Sauce

In a mixing bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and garlic powder. Whisk until smooth and well blended.

Step 4: Assemble

Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts. Add the butter and cream cheese on top. These will melt into the sauce as it cooks, creating a rich, creamy texture.

Step 5: Cook

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fork-tender.

Step 6: Cook Noodles

About 30 minutes before the chicken is done, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 7: Shred and Stir

Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return it to the sauce and stir to combine.

Step 8: Serve

Serve the creamy ranch chicken over the egg noodles and enjoy!

Notes

If you prefer a thicker sauce, leave the lid off during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow moisture to evaporate.
